Visiting a neighborhood on a things to-do list? Yes, it sounds quite strange but during course of our travel, we have learnt that few streets/neighborhood are beautiful and gives you the local feel & understanding of the local life. Hence, we decided to visit this place & glad we did it, as we had never seen any neighborhood as picturesque as this before.
You can reach Dean Village by walk from princess street via Queens Ferry Street. Entrance to dean village is at Bells Brae.
Narrow streets of cobblestone, small houses that lines the street, a church with the clock tower, a school, red stone apartments, walk by the river, metal bridge makes this beautiful village
A tranquil stream runs through the neighborhood adding to its charm. It’s hard to believe this such exceptional place exists within a mile from the busy princess street.
We easily spent more than two hours strolling the picturesque streets yet we didn’t realize it as we were completely lost in it’s tranquility.
Gorgeous red stone Gothic church is definitely one of the highlights of the village. Stream running beside the church – the setting just looks like a page from a story book.
